Το ψηφιδωτό "Δέηση" στην Αγία Σοφία-Ayasofya`da "Deisis" mozaiği-The "Deësis" mosaic in Hagia Sophia

Το ψηφιδωτό  "Δέησις" χρονολογείται πιθανώς από το 1261. 

Ανατέθηκε για να σηματοδοτήσει το τέλος των 57 ετών λατινικής καθολικής χρήσης

 και την επιστροφή στην Ανατολική Ορθόδοξη πίστη. 

Είναι το τρίτο πάνελ που βρίσκεται στον αυτοκρατορικό περίκλειστο χώρο των ανώτερων στοών. 

Θεωρείται ευρέως το καλύτερο στην Αγία Σοφία, λόγω της απαλότητας των χαρακτηριστικών, των ανθρώπινων εκφράσεων και των τόνων του μωσαϊκού. 

Το στυλ είναι κοντά σε αυτό των Ιταλών ζωγράφων στα τέλη του 13ου ή στις αρχές του 14ου αιώνα, όπως ο Duccio. 

Σε αυτό το πάνελ, η Παναγία και ο Ιωάννης ο Βαπτιστής (Ιωάννης Πρόδρομος),

 οι οποίοι εμφανίζονται σε τρία τέταρτα προφίλ, 

ζητούν τη μεσολάβηση του Χριστού Παντοκράτορα για την ανθρωπότητα

 την Ημέρα της Κρίσης.

 Το κάτω μέρος αυτού του μωσαϊκού έχει υποστεί σοβαρή φθορά. 

Αυτό το μωσαϊκό θεωρείται ως η αρχή της αναγέννησης 

της βυζαντινής εικαστικής τέχνης. 

"Deisis" mozaiği  muhtemelen 1261'de yaptırılmış . 

57 yıllık Latin Katolik kullanımının sonunu ve Doğu Ortodoks inancına dönüşü 

işaretlemek için görevlendirilmiştir. 

Üst galerilerin imparatorluk bölümünde yer alan üçüncü paneldir.

 Özelliklerinin yumuşaklığı, insani ifadeleri ve mozaiğin tonları nedeniyle

 Ayasofya'nın en iyisi olarak kabul edilir. 

Tarz, Duccio gibi 13. yüzyılın sonları veya 14. yüzyılın başlarındaki

 İtalyan ressamların tarzına yakındır. 

Bu panelde Meryem Ana ve Vaftizci Yahya (Ioannes Prodromos),

 her ikisi de dörtte üçlük bir profilde gösteriliyor 

ve Kıyamet Günü'nde insanlık için Pantokrator İsa'nın şefaatini istiyor. 

Bu mozaiğin alt kısmı kötü bir şekilde bozulmuştur.

 Bu mozaik, Bizans resim sanatında bir rönesansın başlangıcı olarak kabul edilir.

The "Deësis" mosaic (Δέησις, "Entreaty") probably dates from 1261. 

It was commissioned to mark the end of 57 years of Latin Catholic use 

and the return to the Eastern Orthodox faith.

 It is the third panel situated in the imperial enclosure of the upper galleries.

 It is widely considered the finest in Hagia Sophia, because of the softness of the features,

 the humane expressions and the tones of the mosaic. 

The style is close to that of the Italian painters of the late 13th or early 14th century, 

such as Duccio. 

In this panel the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist (Ioannes Prodromos), 

both shown in three-quarters profile, 

are imploring the intercession of Christ Pantocrator for humanity on Judgment Day. 

The bottom part of this mosaic is badly deteriorated.

This mosaic is considered as the beginning of a renaissance in Byzantine pictorial art.
